The engineering design underlying these plans is currently being developed by a group of students in the Civil Engineering Department's capstone course, ECIV 470 Civil Engineering Design.  As a part of their study, they will be considering innovative environmentally friendly solutions for construction.  These students will have plans ready in December 1999 so check back then for more information on ecologically-sensitive design.
